This little girl has the most gorgeous eyes that I just had to leave a bunch of her images in color! She was so much fun to photograph. Her parents let her crawl around outside for one of the first times and she was so excited. She was fascinated with leaves and I love the shots of her playing with them. It's always so great to watch them discover!! To enjoy the show larger, click here

Beautiful Kailyn
Oh, this girl cracked me up! She was the more focused on me and my camera than playing. She actually spent more time on my lap than anywhere else :) Then she saw my necklace and had to have it. Her poor little shoes kept falling off and I absolutely love the shots I got of her trying to get them back on. Her little family is very sweet together and obviously really enjoy each other. Enjoy her show! For a larger view, click here
Marvelous Madelynn
This little girl and her parents were so much fun to photograph. They all had such a nice easy way of interacting with each other and you can tell that Madelynn is the joy of their lives. Her and her mom were so naturally affectionate...they made my job super easy. And, little Madelynn had a big "first" while I was there! She climbed the stairs for the first time and was so proud of herself. She got to the top, looked down and then looked up her mommy with such a happy and proud face...I love those moments! Enjoy your show! To view larger, click here
Oh So Cute Kail
This little boy cracked me up! He was so happy to show me his toys and to just sit and play. And, he's quite the little guitarist! Kail and his mom were super cute together and I had a lot of phone photographing them. Hope you enjoy the show...this boy's a natural :) To view larger, click here

Why I do Birth Stories
When I gave birth to my daughter it was the single most triumphant moment in my life. Everything that my body, soul and spirit had worked so hard for, was finally here. That perfect moment when she was first laid in my arms and my entire being could relax into my husband's arms and around her tiny little body, will stay with me forever.
All the rest of it is a complete blur...I have to look at my pictures to remember anything else about that 23 hours of LABOR! But when I do, I get to see all the beauty, power and love that surrounded me and my family during that time when all I can remember is the pain, pain and more pain. I love being able to see the strength in my body, the consistency of my husband's support, my dad's nervousness and all the other moving emotions that were so prevalent....because I sure don't remember all that...I was a little sidetracked...
That what's led me in this direction. I want a mom to be able to look at her birth story album and see all the things she missed or forgot...how her husband stared at her with admiration for 36 hrs. straight, how her family partied in the waiting room, how every muscle in her body worked to deliver her baby. Births bring out the most beautiful aspects of all involved and I love being able to capture those interactions for the family to enjoy for generations to come.
I respect all styles of births and am willing to cover any birth that you choose...except, maybe heading out into the forest by yourself, I don't do that My daughter and niece were both born at home and I'm very comfortable in that environment. I'm also cool with hospital and birth center births...as long as there's a baby coming, I'm fine! My photography style is completely unobtrusive and I pay very close attention to what the mom and dad are going through and how much space they need. I do everything I can not to use my flash and stay invisible. I also use a lot of discretion and make sure to take modest pictures that you will be comfortable sharing.
The portraits captured in these moments are the most powerful, moving and touching images I've ever had the pleasure to create. This is, by far, my favorite part of photography and I'd love to share it with you. If you're interested, please contact me for a consultation and coffee (okay, maybe decaf tea for you )

I finally did it!
After seeing all the other photographer's having so much fun using their blogs as a way to connect with their clients, I decided it was my turn!
My favorite part about my job is getting to interact with all of my great families. I always leave a session wanting to spend more time playing with the kiddos and hanging out with their parents. Each session is unique and I want to share a snipppit here for all to enjoy!
I'll also post all my new goodies here so keep checking back! Coming up, I have some gorgeous custom made photo jewelry that I'll be featuring...ooooooh, sparkly.....
Please feel free to post comments and use this blog as a fun gathering spot!
